Welcome

West Tamar Presbyterian Church or “Auld Kirk” as it is commonly known is situated on the western bank of the Tamar River in Sidmouth, Tasmania, Australia.

“Auld Kirk” is an active, Bible believing Church, with a congregation who are faithful to the core principles of the Presbyterian Faith, based on the sovereignty of God, and salvation through believing faith in the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus. Our services are Christ centred and Bible based and include a mixture of contemporary and classical hymns, the reading and proclamation of God’s word, prayer, children’s talks, and mission spots.

Services are held every Sunday morning commencing at 10 am, and concluding around 11 am. There are also services on Good Friday and Christmas day.  During the service there is a children’s talk, and children are also welcome to attend Sunday school during the sermon in school terms.  Visitors and new members are always welcome. After the service we would love you to join us for morning tea in the Sunday school hall.

“Auld Kirk” is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church of Australia. For more information visit the Australian Presbyterian Church website here or the Tasmanian Presbyterian Church site here.
