Habakkuk Part 4 – The Sovereign Lord is my strength – 26th July 2020

Reverend Phil Simmonds

PASTORS THOUGHTS

“For all True Christians, there is a time, past present or future, when like Habakkuk, you will come (or have already come) to the realization that despite what is happening in your life, or the circumstances of an ever deteriorating world situation surrounding you, there is only one person to turn too – the Sovereign Lord God, in and through His Son the Lord Jesus, and His empowering Holy Spirit. It is then that the reality of the phrase “and you will know the peace that is beyond all (human) understanding” has true meaning in your life, and like Habakkuk, will bring you peace of mind, heart and soul – praise God.”

Habakkuk Part 3 – The righteous will live by faith – 19th July 2020

Reverend Phil Simmonds

PASTORS THOUGHTS

“One of the continuing Biblical themes from Genesis to Revelation is that “the righteous will live by faith” – which requires, no matter what the circumstances of life, that God’s people place their trust completely in God – His salvation found in Jesus Christ – His providence – His spiritual help in times of need – His promise of eternal life. However, this also requires much dependent prayer and encouragement before God’s Throne of Grace!”

Habakkuk Part 2 – The Lords’ answer ; Watch – 12th July 2020.

Reverend Phil Simmonds

PASTOR’S THOUGHTS
“In this weeks message, the Lord answers Habakkuk’s prayer of complaint in a totally unexpected way! So much so, that Habakkuk responds by again questioning the Lord’s ways – how could you possibly do this? However, how would we respond to answered prayer when the Lord’s answer was totally unexpected and put us out of our comfort zone?”

Habakukk Part 1 – Why Oh Lord? – 5th July 2020

Reverend Phil Simmonds

PASTOR’S THOUGHTS
This Sunday we start a new sermon series based upon the Old Testament Book of Habakkuk and God. Habakkuk is struggling with the apparent lack of God’s “interest” in Israel’s declining spiritual morality and the increasing immunity of the ungodly – which brings about Habakkuk’s sincere question “Why O Lord?” Questions still relevant for today’s generations!
